Artists Amy and Judy Guglielmo are spotlight artists for the new season at the Adirondack Art Association gallery in Essex.

The gallery will feature a spotlight artist every month, along with a group show highlighting the works of artist members.

The Guglielmo exhibit will run through June 28.

INTERTWINED

The mother-daughter pair have exhibited together often over the years, their first time being in 1990.

They say they draw insight and inspiration from each other and often collaborate on paintings.

“This is the 26th year we have worked together, and we have taken classes together,” Judy told the Press-Republican.

“I am inspired by her (Amy’s) bright colors, and this helps in our collaboration.”

Amy credits her mother for her early interest in art, noting Judy took many art classes and that her father is also creative.

“There was always a lot of art around the home,” Amy said.

She said she is also “influenced by kids because what they do is true and bold.” [Source: The Press Republican, “Sharing vision, inspiration” on June 2, 2016.]
